If canvas height can only go to max of 16", how did Rick Delanty adapt the easel for this 18×18 painting?

Hi, Sue—the Strada has a panel holder that is longer than 16 in., and extends to the 18 inches I needed for this painting. I have done 18×24′s on my mid-size Strada as well, by simply looping a bungee cord around the canvas and panel holder, and setting the base of the canvas at the top of the mixing area, where the hinges are. The Strada easel is one of the most versatile easels out there, Sue, for Plein Air Painting!
